AMERICAN
RESTORATION features Rick Dale and his crew
of loose screws at Rick's Restorations in Las Vegas, Nevada,

AMERICAN
PICKERS isn't your grandmother's antiquing.
Pickers like Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz are on a mission to
recycle America, even if it means diving into countless
piles of grimy junk or getting chased off a gun-wielding
homeowner's land. Hitting back roads from coast to coast,
the two men earn a living by restoring forgotten relics to
their former glory, transforming one person's trash into
another's treasure.

americana Defined
Americana refers to
artifacts, or a collection of artifacts, related to the
history, geography, folklore and cultural heritage of
the United States. Many kinds of material fall within
the definition of Americana: paintings, prints and
drawings; license plates or entire vehicles, household
objects, tools and weapons; plaques and statues, and so
on. Patriotism and nostalgia play a defining role in the
subject. The things involved need not be old, but need
to have the appropriate associations. The term may be
used to describe the theme of a museum or collection, or
of goods for sale.

Since its founding in 1837,
John Deere has seen a great many changes in its
business, its products, its services. Change always
comes with opportunity. And Deere has always been ready
and willing to embrace it.

no one
on earth could have made up. Four young men experimented
with internal combustion in this tiny wooden shed.
